About Kalyn

Arise Lactation was born from a desire not only to help new parents during this challenging and wonderful transition, but also to fulfill a need within myself to get MORE out of my work. Becoming a Lactation Consultant was a full 180 from my previous eight years spent in emergency and trauma nursing. But if there's one thing a global pandemic will teach you, it is that isolation and lack of support during the postpartum period can take a detrimental toll on parents and babies. This is the "why" behind my work. Yes, babies are cute, and I love seeing them every day - but my passion is in helping the mother. Making sure she is seen, heard, and cared for. So in 2021, after the birth of my second child, I got to work; and in 2022 Arise Lactation was born.
